Inertial Sense Module for interVOLT DCC Pro
The Inertial Sense Module or ISM is a solid-state electronic device developed for use with the interVOLT DCC Pro on 12V systems only. It detects movement from both engine vibration and vehicle or vessel motion. Once the input voltage exceeds 13.2 V, this movement will provide a trigger signal to the DCC Pro and initiate the charging cycle. It will switch off when the voltage falls below 12.8V. This enables the DCC Pro to be operated in Ignition Mode without having to tap into the vehicle or vessel manufacturer’s wiring system. The ISM incorporates a short wiring harness which connects directly to the DCC Pro. The ISM is an over-moulded device rated waterproof to IP67 and can be fastened with the high-quality 3M tape included or with a single screw. Single screw fastening is recommended where vibrations are of a low level. The ISM has a single green LED indicator which blinks every 8 seconds in standby mode. Once activated by movement the LED will illuminate continuously until such time as the vibration/acceleration is no longer detected, and the Voltage drops below the factory parameters.
